Swiftia gives you granular control over how your subtitles look using standard CSS properties. This allows you to match your specific brand guidelines, change font weights, and adjust sizes globally across the entire video.
Accessing the Style Editor #
- Open any project in the Editor. (from Swiftia dashboard)
- Click on any caption block in the timeline or the video preview.
- Look for the Global Captions Style section in the right-hand panel. Any changes made here will automatically apply to all subtitles in the video.
Changing Fonts & Size #
To customize the text, you need to add specific properties:
- Click the + Add CSS Property button.
- To Change Font: Search for fontFamily and select it. Under “Default Value,” click Select a Font to choose from options like Roboto, Montserrat, or others.
- To Change Size: Click + Add CSS Property again and search for fontSize. Enter a number (e.g., 16, 24) to increase or decrease the text size.
Making Text Bold (Font Weight) #
If you want your captions to pop, you can adjust the thickness of the characters:
- Add the fontWeight property.
- Select a value from the dropdown menu.
- 400: Normal/Regular
- 700: Bold
- 900: Extra Bold (High Impact)
