How to Generate Shorts from a YouTube Link

< 1 min read

The fastest way to create content on Swiftia is by pasting a link directly from YouTube. Our AI analyzes the video, detects viral moments, and crops them vertically for you automatically.

Quick Steps #

  • Navigate to Generate Shorts in the left sidebar.
  • Click the New Generation button in the top right corner.
  • Ensure the YouTube URL tab is selected (this is the default).
  • Paste Link: Copy the URL of the YouTube video you want to repurpose and paste it into the text field.
  • Review Cost: Swiftia will calculate the video length and show you an Estimated Cost in credits on the right side.
  • Click Generate Shorts at the bottom of the screen.

Viewing Your Results #

The processing time depends on the length of the original video. You can track the status in the “Your Video Generations” list.

  • Processing: The AI is currently analyzing the transcript and video frames.
  • Completed: Your clips are ready. Click the View button to open the editor and fine-tune your shorts.
